The ACP Parliamentary Assembly and the Joint ACP-EU Parliamentary Assembly met in Strasbourg from 13^th to 19^th March 2014.  During the 27^th session of the JPA issues discussed and debated included amongst others mining for oil and minerals on seabed, terrorism, climate change and the rights of migrants.  As is normal practice a number of resolutions were debated and agreed to during the session.  Afioga Lautafi Selafi Purcell is Samoa’s representative to both meeting and is also the immediate past President of the Joint Sub-Committee on Political Affairs.
