Samoa Parliamentarian in Brussels for ACP & ACP-EU Parliamentary Assembly Sessions
The 50th Session of the ACP Parliamentary Assembly was held in Brussels on 15th June 2018. The meeting preceded the 35th Session of the ACP-EU Joint Parliamentary Assembly from 18th – 20th June 2018 where the main issues discussed included migration, demographic growth, the fight against xenophobia, racism, discrimination and terrorism. Samoa was represented by Member of Parliament, Honourable Faumuina Tiatia Faaolatane Liuga.
The Joint Parliamentary Assembly is a unique parliamentary forum which brings together 78 Members of Parliament from the African, Caribbean and Pacific Group of States to meet twice a year with their 78 European counterparts in a plenary session for one week.
