Samoa chairs the 21st Meeting of the ACP Ministerial Trade Committee in Brussels

The Minister for Trade Negotiations, Honourable Lautafi Fio Selafi Joseph Purcell, chaired the 21st Meeting of the ACP Ministerial Trade Committee Meeting held on 24th October 2018 at the ACP House in Brussels, Belgium.  The ACP Ministers and representatives discussed the post-Cotonou negotiations in relation to trade cooperation; the state of play of the ACP-EU Economic Partnership Agreement; ACP-EU Trade regime issues; the WTO issues; Trade-related capacity building programmes; the EU list of the third party non-cooperative tax jurisdictions; and ways to strengthen intra-ACP trade relations.

Members of Samoa’s delegation include Ms Peseta Noumea Simi, CEO of MFAT, H.E. Fatumanava Dr Paolelei Luteru, Ambassador of Samoa, Ms Nella Tavita-Levy, ACEO-Trade of MFAT, and Ms Fiona Lene-Samoa, Principal Officer-Trade of MFAT.
