The 55^th Session of the ACP Parliamentary Assembly was held in Kigali, Rwanda from 14^th to 17^th November 2019. The meeting preceded the 38^th Session of the ACP-EU Joint Parliamentary Assembly from 18^th to 21^st November 2019 where resolutions were adopted on the impact of social media on governance, development, democracy and stability; Sustainable industrialisation and digitalisation: the approach and industrialisation and digitalisation policies for ACP countries; Promoting the active participation of young citizens in public life in ACP and EU countries; Challenges addressed at the COP25 (United Nations Conference on climate change 2-13 December 2019, Madrid, Spain); and the threat of climate change to fisheries and aquaculture. Samoa was represented by Member of Parliament, Honourable Faumuina Tiatia Faaolatane Liuga.

The Joint Parliamentary Assembly is a unique parliamentary forum which brings together 78 Members of Parliament from the African, Caribbean and Pacific Group of States to meet twice a year with their European counterparts in a plenary session for one week.
